Design Your Space For Living

Simple architectural geometry frames nature and provides a quiet contrast with the view beyond.

The project uses a sincere understating of scale, detail, and materiality to gain planning approval in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
With approximately 121 apartments and 23 villas, the complex is designed as a small village of low-rise buildings, assembled to create a sense of community. The result is an artful choreography of tightly clustered buildings, generous communal spaces, and local materials in a sensitive reinterpretation of the traditional Albanian coastal town.

Not just a traditional project, but a project where the most contemporary materials will be used to ensure all the residents of the complex a very comfortable living.

A project realized by the prestigious studio Oppenheim Architecture.

When designing a new resort for Jala, on Albania’s Mediterranean southern coast, Oppenheim Architecture studied, distilled, and evolved the local architectural heritage and spirit to create a sympathetic and timeless response. The project embraces the rich vernacular and site ecologies found on the site and in the nearby villages of Vuno and Dhermi. By grounding itself in Jala, the project aims to achieve a sensitivity towards man and nature, harmonizing with its context.
